Dignity in Death

Writer's picture: Barbara FrandsenBarbara Frandsen

I am writing to let you know that, after numerous delays, Amazon.com tells me the company is ready to sell my paperback book, Dignity in Death. The e-book is still on sale for a short time at $.99.

About the Book

My husband says, “No one gets out of here alive.” His statement of stark reality reminds us that each one of us will be confronted by our own death as well as the illness and death of a loved one. With my husband’s statement in mind, I wrote the book in three sections.

  1. The first section of the book shares personal experiences gained from losing loved ones. My authentic stories can be used as tools for understanding personal feelings.

  2. Experts tell us that words can make a difference. Section II differentiates helpful words from those that often seem uncaring or even untrue. Using the suggestions of those who engage in grief work on a daily basis opens a window of opportunity to make a small difference.

  3. The final section provides end-of-life options. Participating in one’s own ending may lead to a gentle embrace of the undeniable. By sharing personal desires and completing sample forms required at the time of death, the situation will be less stressful for remaining family members.

Dignity in Death is an invitation to release fear and embrace acceptance, opening new and limitless opportunities for knowledge, adventure, and unconditional love.
